Environmental Policy

The Edge Environmental Policy

The Edge recognises that our day-to-day operations and other responsibilities impact on the environment in a number of ways.

We are committed to achieving continual improvement in environmental performance and to preventing pollution through innovative thinking. As an FSC accredited supplier we also will endeavour to educate our customers into the principles of the scheme and promote the use of FSC accredited materials wherever possible.

We aim to work towards a sustainable environment through proactive environmental management and the provision of information and training, including the recycling of as much of our waste as is possible. Improving our environmental performance in all our operations is a major priority, to be achieved through working towards an Environmental Management System, and through compliance with this policy. The scope of the EMS covers all areas of The Edge’s activities.

It is our Policy to:

Integrate environmental management into our day-to-day business operations, to ensure environmental issues are addressed and to provide a quality of service to all clients, through a documented and maintained system which meets the requirements of the latest issue of ISO 14001.

Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation

Minimise the significant environmental impacts of our current activities, products and services where possible.

Ensure that employees training needs are identified by an appraisal process

Openly communicate progress on environmental issues to internal and external parties and respond appropriately to reasonable requests for information.

Improve continuously

We will set objectives and targets based on the significance of our organisation’s environmental aspects and monitor our progress towards the set targets.
